IIUC has established an Information Technology Division (ITD) as per resolution of 124th Syndicate meeting held on 14th July 2008. The use of the ITD with all its sections shall be subject to rules made by the Syndicate from time to time. It has a Management Committee headed by the Dean, Faculty of Science & Engineering. The mission of ITD is to support the primary institutional missions of teaching & research at IIUC. ITD provides Software and Network management system of IIUC which includes central website, E-mail facilities, E-journal facility & Software modules of different departments & divisions. In the year of 2012 IIUC has taken an automation project for total office automation and it was named as ‘Integrated University Management System’. It is being maintained by the IT division of IIUC. Later in the year of 2017-2020, the ITD software team has redesigned and developed a more robust student management system that cover functional & non-functional requirements of Online Student Admission, Registration, Result Processing & Publication, Certificate Management, Student Accounts & Billing. SMS and Email notification and IQAC module.
ITD has implemented HR and Biometric thumb Attendance System, User authentication for central wi-fi system.
ITD has implemented famous open source named KOHA for library automation.
To make IIUC a digital hub it maintains a backbone network connected via Optical fiber which facilitates Intranet and Internet connectivity to all the faculties, staff and students. The students have the option to use laboratories in the departments, which are equipped with high-speed internet connectivity for 24 hours. Besides, the whole campus is covered with Wi-Fi facilities i.e. labs, libraries, classrooms, administrative office, departmental office, conference rooms, auditorium, cafeteria and student’s halls etc. Around 115 wireless access points have been installed throughout the campus to support about 10000 concurrent connections.
There are around 1200+ computers, laptops and notebooks distributed across various laboratories, classrooms, academic and administrative offices with high-speed internet access. There are 29 (twenty-nine) computer Labs under the Faculty of Science and Engineering and 8(eight) in the other Faculties of IIUC. In the laboratories, there are around 1100+ computers connected with high-speed internet connectivity.
Every student in IIUC has access to the high-speed internet from the campus. To meet the booming demand for Internet service, IIUC has managed a total of 2.1 Gbps of uninterrupted dedicated bandwidth for Internet access to Academic, Administrative buildings and Halls on the campus. Internet connectivity to IIUC is provided through four different ISPs. To maintain network redundancy, it has a secondary network connection via a high-speed radio link. IIUC is now maintaining redundancy for Internet service which ensures high availability of the system with speedy connection for access to information.
IIUC has established a modern Data Center which is also a pioneering step among the private universities. IIUC has a resourceful website (www.iiuc.ac.bd) for its user. Visiting the Websites, the students can have access to all relevant information regarding registration, payment, academic performance and other academic information.
In addition, the faculty members and students at this university have facilitated G-Suite applications from Google. By building educational infrastructure on top of the Google G-Suite cloud, the departments can empower faculty, staff, and students with all the tools necessary for student teacher interactions of today's world of education. With Google workspace for Education, the faculty members save precious time by creating, organizing, sharing, and grading the work of students all in one place and successfully streamline with minimal effort. What’s more, Classroom makes it easy to connect with the students. This makes teaching and learning efficient and a bit easier. Google Classroom is being used to keep track of student progress, see who’s working on their assigned project, who’s finished and who has questions. Besides, for online classes IIUC maintains an account with Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) to avail the ZOOM services.

IIUC has multiple high end Server Computer centrally installed in a well-equipped Datacenter at Kumira campus. All software is stored centrally in the Datacenter and secure access to that software is managed through the following client portal.
