A seminar on on Outcome Based Education (OBE) and Accreditation
A seminar on on “Outcome Based Education (OBE) and Accreditation” was held on November 06, 2017 at IIUC seminar Hall, where most of the teachers of the Department of Qur’anic Science& Islamic Studies, Sciences of Hadith & Islamic Studies, Da’wah & Islamic Studies, CENURC, Economic &Banking, English Language and literature were present. Prof. Dr. Md. Delawer Hossain, Hon’ble Pro-VC & IQAC-Director, IIUC, conducted the session with power point presentation. He highlighted on the issues such as Practice for Academic Quality Work, Traditional Educational System verses Outcome Based Education System, Components of OBE and Cycle of OBE, Program Educational Objectives (PEO), Program and Course Outcome, Mapping between POs to PEOs, Mapping of COs to Pos, ILO &SLO, Process of OBE, Continuous Quality Improvement, Bloom’s Taxonomy & Order of Learning, Objectives of Accreditation and its Criteria. He urges the teachers to be more self-conscious about quality education and research, and continuously involved in its improvement by self-competition and teamwork.He also instructed the respective departmental SA Committee to take necessary steps to formulate the Program Educational Objectives (PEO), Program Outcome (PO), Course Outcome(CO), Student Learning Outcome (SLO), Mapping of SLO to PEO,PEO to Mission, PO to PEO, Course outcome to PO. The seminar was presided over by Prof. Dr. Nazmul Hoque Nadwi, Dean of the Faculty of Shariah & Islamic Studies.
